Donington Park Historic Festival

A great weekend at Donington Park for the Donington Park Historic Festival, for both drivers, Steve Allen and Ian Simmonds. Steve Allen raced his March 782 (Formula Two) for the first time, with an incredible qualifying position of 3rd/23. Steve's first race, saw him finish in 5th/23, with a fastest time of 1:07.221, only 0:02.00 off of the fastest car! The second race, Steve finished 5th/20, with a fastest time of 1;08.320 and an average speed of 102.55kph. When the two races where combined Steve Allen finished with a 5th/23. Ian Simmonds Raced his new Envoy Formula Junior at the Donington Historic Festival, a little bit different to driving his Tyrrell 012. Ian Qualified second to last (29th/30), but in the race he had a great start and by the end of the first lap was up to 19th. Finishing 19th/30 with a fastest time of 1:37.702 and a first in class. A great weekend for both of the drivers and the team, going home with great starts to the Formula Junior and Formula Two Championships, with reliable and competitive cars.
