Brands Hatch Historic Superprix 10th-12th July 2015 The weekend began on Friday with Steve Allen shaking down and testing his March 782 and Phil Hall's Theodore TR1, the day went well with no problems. Saturday began with the Historic Formula Two qualifying, Phil Hall qualified 6th/25 with a best time of 1:29.948 in his March 752, Steve Allen qualified 8th/25 with a best time of 1:30.315 in his March 782. The Derek Bell Trophy qualifying began at 11:30 on Saturday, Steve Allen qualified 2nd/25 with a fastest time of 1:28.803 in his March 782. Phil Hall qualified 5th/25 in his Theodore TR1 with a best time of 1:29.573. The Historic Formula Two's first race began at 14:45 on Saturday, by the end of the first lap Phil Hall came in with a technical issue on the car which was resolved for the second race. Steve Allen made up 4 spaces from qualifying and finished 4th overall and he also beat his best time in qualifying with a 1:28.578. The first race for the Derek Bell trophy was a race after the Formula Two's first race, unfortunately on the first lap Phil Hall had a tussle with ex Formula One driver Ian Ashley, ending up having a small collision which ended with Phil Hall retiring from the race with a broken wheel and puncture. Steve Allen The first race on Sunday began at 14:00 (Historic Formula Two), Steve Allen was positioned 4th on the grid, whilst Phil Hall was second from last (23rd), by the end of the ninth lap Phil Hall had made his way up the grid to 3rd place, which he held till the end of the race. Steve Allen ended in 5th after getting up in caught traffic. Phil Hall made his best time of 1:27.445 in his March 752, Steve Allen also made his best time in race two with a 1:28.208.
